2026 Season Outlook

UCLA's first season under Matt Werle began with nine wins in eleven matches. The Bruins handled two opponents in straight sets in Las Vegas before a much tougher five-set finish against Hawaiʻi. UCLA Volleyball Program History

Four national championships and decades of postseason runs give UCLA a deep volleyball history. The program returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2025 and entered a new coaching era in 2026 with Matt Werle.

The Bruins started Werle's first season 9-2. They swept Iowa State and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Las Vegas, then recovered from a fifth-set deficit against Hawaiʻi to win the Lucky Aces Volleyball Invitational.
